Instead of having your guests bring Recipes or Spices for the Bride have them bring Cleaning supplies to help the Bride stock up to clean her home. This went over very well at my daughters. She got everything from laundry detergent to dish soap and all purpose cleaners even sponges . Here is the poem we typed on card stock and included in her shower invitations.
