How to Throw an Epic Themed Bachelorette Party

If you’ve never planned a Bachelorette party before, it might feel a bit overwhelming but in reality, it’s not that difficult to make your party a raving success.

I have planned and been to a few Bachelorette Parties in my day, but some the best have had a theme. One of the most recent ones was my daughter’s!

Below are a few tips and tricks from our weekend that can help you make your party a success.

MAKE A WEEKEND OUT OF IT

Turning your party into a weekend getaway will instantly make it feel more excited.

We chose to theme our weekend getaway “Drunk in Love.” We Rented a Cabin in Deep Creek, MD and invited the ladies in the bridal party and some other close family and friends to join in the fun.

We Left Pennsylvania Friday morning, with the Bride to be all dressed in her white sweatshirt that said Bride on it, her comfy white leggings. But there was a small, but IMPORTANT detail we took care of before leaving that really made the weekend amazing.

SET UP A VENMO FOR STRANGERS TO DONATE

When we set up a Venmo decked the car windows out with her # for her Venmo account, we had no idea what a hit it would be.

But this Venmo would get more action than I thought it was going to. People had so much fun with it, sending her some money and well wishes for her to use for drinks for the weekend.

TURN THE ROAD TRIP INTO AN EVENT IN ITSELF

Before leaving, we already had a schedule set up to make the road trip feel like a road party.

Our first stop was at a little restaurant for breakfast, then we made our way to Maryland where we stopped at the Greene Turtle for a few drinks and to just get everyone starting to have some fun and relax.

Next stop was the Honi Honi Bar for the bride, me(her mom), her aunt, her Future Mother in law and a great family friend.

While we were at the bar, the rest of the crew went to the cabin to get it decorated and ready for the weekend. They did a great job and The Bride loved everything about it.

That night we had decided on a fancy dinner where we all got dressed up in our best black fashions while the bride wore white of course. We had a nice dinner at Dutch’s on silver, the food was fabulous and the ladies all had a great time.

KEEP THE LATE NIGHT STUFF SIMPLE

Once back at the cabin we played some games including Drunk Jenga (the girls all had fun with this).

Keeping the late night stuff simple and at the cabin meant that the girls could drop out when they’d hit their limit. It also meant that we didn’t have to worry about how we’d get back to our cabin or designating a driver.

GRAB T-SHIRTS SO THAT EVERYONE KNOWS WHAT (AND WHO) YOU’RE CELEBRATING

Saturday started with some breakfast while we waited for our Party Bus, it was also time to give the girls their outfits for the day. The bride of course got a white shirt that said “Drunk in Love” on the front and Feyonce on the back and each of the other ladies got a black shirt that had “Just Drunk” on the front and then their roll in the wedding on the back.

They were also presented with a cowboy hat decorated with glitter and boas and of course the logo of their favorite alcohol on it (see pictures).

This was just the start of a wonderful fun day.

The Party bus was a hit and the driver Ralph was amazing all day with us. Our first stop was Mountain State Brewery and this is where the games started.

Play a Party Game

The bride pulled one guests name from a bag and then a task that guest needed to do from another bag, these consisted of everything from smacking a stranger on the butt, to getting a picture with a guy in uniform and everything in between. Relax and Have Fun

We had so much fun here and we even had some nice guys buy us pitchers of the drink we were having. We had some appetizers here to keep the girls bellies full and also had water on the bus for them. We hit up a few more small bars before heading to the Honi Honi bar for the evening.

Everyone loved our hats and outfits, lots of people took pictures with us and bought the bride drinks all night long. The game continued on at the Honi Honi Bar and people were lined up asking if they could be part of a task or something with the bride. We had dinner from Uno’s Pizza and spent the whole evening listening to a band and dancing.

Our night didn’t end until Midnight and there was a lot of singing and dancing on the bus as well. We all had a great time and it made it hard to go to sleep.

Sunday we all got up cleaned up the house and packed the cars and ended the most wonderful weekend celebrating the most beautiful Bride to be.
